Over the period of his career, Priyadarshan Deshmukh worked in the Automotive, Strategy Consulting, and High Tech manufacturing industries. He has been part of different streams of supply chain processes like – Procurement, Manufacturing, Production Control, Cost Management, Supply Demand Planning, Inventory Management, B2B Strategy and Business Transformation. He gained the breadth of supply chain experience thru his multifaceted assignments in different streams and different Geographies. He worked in the US, Canada, Brazil, UK and now in Asia for last few assignments (specifically in India, China and Hong Kong) in various supply chain leadership roles. Currently he holds a Asia Pacific Sourcing Manager Role and resides in Hong Kong.

He has an MBA in Finance and Supply Chain and a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate degree. He is a Consulting Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP, considered subject matter experts in the E2E supply chain process areas), which is the highest honor in IBM's supply chain practice.

Professor Parthasarathy has held academic positions at UC Berkeley, Case Western Research Institute, the University of Illinois and Indian Statistical Institute Calcutta.
